Former Coast Guard Commandant Linda Fagan was given just three hours to leave her home after she was removed by the Trump administration.
Fagan, who was the first woman to lead a military branch, was ousted because of claims that she focused too much on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Coast Guard officials had granted her a 60-day waiver to find new housing, according to a source.
However, on Tuesday, Homeland Security officials told acting Commandant Kevin Lunday to remove her immediately.

They stated that “the president wants her out of quarters,” according to someone who knows about the situation.
DHS commented on the situation: “She was terminated with cause two weeks ago today, and she was still living in those admiral quarters,” the official said, confirming that Fagan had been told to leave.
The official mentioned that they could not confirm or deny the three-hour timeline.
