It’s growing tough to hold back our emotions since we feel like we’ve been hit in the feelings. Jenny Hefczyc, better known online as Jenny-Jinya, has recently published her latest sad comic. This time, it’s about watching your dog get put to death. It’s powerful enough to make any animal lover’s bottom lip tremble.
Breathe deeply, scroll down, and tell us in the comments how the comic made you feel, as well as whether you’ve ever done anything similar to what the protagonist did. Uhstories’ posts about Jenny’s most recent comics may be seen here, here and here.
I’ve always enjoyed animals, so it was inevitable that I’d have to say goodbye to many of them at some point. Not all of the sick and injured animals I routinely care for survive. I always stayed with these creatures till the finish because it felt right and natural.
However, a heartfelt letter from a veterinarian that went viral urged people not to abandon their dying dogs. This made me feel even more validated, which encouraged me to sketch more.

Jenny created another comic that is very powerful emotionally
Jenny reported that she took longer than usual to sketch this cartoon. This animation featured my actual dog, and I discovered that it was frequently really difficult. I rarely felt this delighted when a comic was finished. However, I believed there should have been more debate on this topic.
The artist also emphasised the need of giving our pets one more lovely day before putting them to sleep, if at all possible. “Allow it to eat its favourite food and see its friends again.” Tell it that you love it more than anything. As you guide it to its final destination, make sure your voice is the last one it hears.
The artist recently revealed some details about her illustration method to Bored Panda. According to Jenny, each comic takes a different amount of time to draw. The illustrator must perform extensive research before commencing each cartoon, and she takes considerable care in her work. “For the drawing, however, I need about a week,” she added.
Jenny has always wanted to work in art. Jenny has been obsessed with drawing since she can remember. Her mother used to joke with her that she could sketch before she could walk.
