This tragic reality was depicted by German artist Jenny-Jinya, also known as Jenny Hefczyc, in her comic about a “ugly” puppy that nobody wants to take home. The illustrator created the cartoon to raise the topic of how frequently people simply gaze outside.

In an interview with Bored Panda, Jenny stated that she gives money to animal shelters every month and that the majority of the information she learns about what happens there comes from the staff members who engage with her online. “I’ve heard via messages that numerous shelters had a challenging year last year. Covid has prevented various organizations from conducting fundraising operations, which has resulted in a dearth of funds, claims the author.
