One of those webcomics that makes people grin no matter how their day has gone is Pixie and Brutus. These two endearing tiny animals are one of the reasons Ben Hed, the artist who creates them, has 2.4 million followers on Instagram.
Ben doesn’t feel any more strain despite having a large fan base, though. “I’m worried about how each comic turns out, but I was worried about that even before I made Pixie and Brutus. I constantly strive to improve. I’m currently acquiring Pixie and Brutus plush toys; I don’t sure when they’ll be available, but I’m eagerly anticipating their arrival.
Ben recently worked as an illustrator full-time. “I notice the sun lot less, hehe. I used to spend my days outside while I worked in construction, but now I spend them indoors in the dark with the windows closed to prevent screen reflections. Though that is true, I don’t want it to sound like though you regret changing jobs because you don’t. Just kidding. I am thankful and fortunate to be rewarded for my love of illustration.

The innocent little ball of fur known as Pixie is a little, content, and active kitten who is unaware of the danger all around him. Brutus is a large, scarred German Shepherd, on the other hand. Brutus’s owner adopted Pixie after he left his position as a military assistant. He’s quite serious and scary, yet he has a soft spot for Pixie and does his best to shield him from the harsh realities of their surroundings.
