The Danby Draws webcomic debuted in August 2020 and is updated every Monday and Friday. Daniel Murrell, who lives with his family in Southern California, is the artist behind his comics. The gag-a-day comic focuses on life, geek culture, family, and gaming, and it attempts to provide interesting cartoons that will make readers laugh out loud. Murrell has been reading comic books since he was a child and has occasionally drawn.
Inspirations? Murrell’s primary inspirations are comic book creators Kris Straub and Bill Watterson. Art requires time to practice and produce; so, Murrell spends three to ten hours finishing a cartoon and showing it to his wife for approval before sharing it with their internet audience.
