Leigh Rubin stated that he has always enjoyed drawing. I’ve known I wanted to be an artist since I was in kindergarten.
Throughout high school and college, I experimented with sculpture, pastels, papier mache, and, of course, pen and ink.”According to the artist, many of his cartoons are inspired by pop culture. “We sleep in a pop-culture universe. When a film is based on a historical event, it quickly becomes part of our collective pop culture. All of this communal popular culture unites us. Whether it’s in movies, literature, songs, cartoon characters, or even advertising and commercials. There is plenty of material to draw inspiration from.
