Humor Side Comics
Although human preference ultimately dictates comedy, a number of other factors, including context, region, culture, age, amount of education, and IQ, can also play a role. Because of its physical characteristics, slapstick productions such as Tom and Jerry cartoons or Punch and Judy puppet shows may appeal to young children.
More advanced comedy approaches, such as satire, need a grasp of their social relevance and context, making them more appealing to a mature audience.
