Actor Gary Sinise is grieving the devastating loss of his son, McCanna Anthony “Mac” Sinise, who passed away at the young age of 33 after a valiant fight against cancer.
Gary, 68, shared the heartbreaking news on his foundation’s website and Instagram, revealing that Mac succumbed to the rare form of cancer, Chordoma, on January 5.
In a poignant statement, Gary reflected on Mac’s remarkable resilience and determination in the face of adversity. Despite being diagnosed with cancer in 2018, Mac continued to pursue his passion for music, even releasing an album, “Resurrection & Revival,” just before his passing.
Gary spoke candidly about the overwhelming grief of losing a child, expressing his heartbreak and solidarity with others who have experienced similar losses.
He celebrated Mac’s unwavering spirit, saying, “He fought an uphill battle against a cancer that has no cure, but he never quit trying.”
Mac’s legacy will live on through his family, including his parents, sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended relatives. Gary is committed to honoring Mac’s memory by releasing his album on vinyl, ensuring that his son’s music and inspiration will continue to touch hearts.
