Ben has finally disclosed the entire story of how Brutus the dog received his wounds while serving in the military, including the heartbreaking aspects. Ben stated why he spent so much time on the comic, saying, “I believe this is the most significant and serious comic in the Pixie and Brutus series, therefore I took my time to get it perfect.

Brutus finally revealed to Pixie how he got his scars
On Instagram, Pet Foolery is a true art whale. Ben’s Instagram account has over 2.4 million faithful followers, and it doesn’t appear like the number will decrease anytime soon. So long as Ben continues to put so much thought and attention into his charming and emotionally charged illustrations.
When Bored Panda spoke with Ben earlier, he acknowledged to significantly changing the design of Pixie and Brutus, as well as inserting a few comics in which Pixie was a little older. But, before you get too concerned about Pet Foolery’s comics altering too much, Ben assures us that they’re still “the same ol’ Pixie and Brutus,” with a few minor tweaks. And a little adjustments are never a bad thing. They assist inkeeping things cool.
