We questioned Lainey about if she finds it difficult to communicate a point through an illustration or a cartoon. The artist responded, “My motto is always’simple, simplify, simplify’ to convey a message, but I also come from a fashion background and I greatly enjoy creating intricate clothing and many details, so usually my biggest challenge is where to meet the two. It’s worth the extra work since I’m always thrilled when someone in the comments points out a little detail or Easter egg they discovered in the illustration.
